Goed

Hebben lekker en gezellig gegeten. Menu werd zonder problemen aangepast aan mijn zwangerschap en omdat mijn vriend een wijn arrangement had, kreeg ik gratis van elke wijn een slokje ingeschonken om te proeven. Sommige dingen op het menu hadden eenvoudiger gekund. Dit toont wel het enthousiasme van de kok om dingen uit te proberen. Goede en zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Lunch

Een lunch van bijzondere klasse, 3 perfect op elkaar afgestemde gangen in een ongedwongen tempo. Klasse is nooit verkeerd. Graag zo doorgaan.

Zeer goed

Fantastisch gegeten bij Henricus. Ik was er voor het eerst en heb genoten. Vlotte bediening, heerlijke gerechten, kortom, hier zal ik vaker komen. Leuk initiatief om het via restaurantweek.nl te kunnen proberen.

Uitstekend

Ter gelegenheid van de restaurantweek, hebben we het verrassings driegangendiner gegeten, waarbij het voor-en nagerecht verdeeld werden in weer vier gangen. Dus feitelijk hebben we een 9 gangen menu genuttigd en het was bijzonder goed! De ontvangst was bijzonder aangenaam, we begonnen direct met champagne en lekkere warme brunchbroodjes vooraf. Het voorgerecht met vier bijzondere gangen was uitstekend en vakkundig opgemaakt! Het hoofdgerecht was prima en het nagerecht van vier gangen was ook om van te smullen! Prima decoratie en geweldige variatie en kwaliteit. De service is uitstekend alsmede de entourage in het restaurant.

Uitstekend

Inmiddels één van onze vaste eetadressen in Den Haag, prachtig gelegen aan de lommerlijke Sophialaan. De proeverij van 3 of 5 gangen is ons vaste menu, bij voorkeur aangevuld met een passend wijnarrangement. De sfeer is geanimeerd en uiterst relaxt. Gastheer Daniel weet als geen ander hoe hij voor zijn gasten moet zorgen. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is optimaal. Henricus: we will certainly return!

Zeer goed

Op 2 september met echtgenote en dochter bij u gedineerd in het kader van de restaurantweek. Wij hebben genoten van al de lekker gerechten. Complimenten aan de kok met medewerkers. Het bedienend personeel verdient zeker een groot compliment zij hebben ons op uiterst prettige en gezellige wijze verzorgd.

This detail grabbed the attention of several people

Yesterday evening we had a comfortable municipal meeting at the Ambassador Club in your hotel. We would like to compliment you on the perfect organisation. Ms Hanken informed me previous to the meeting so that knew exactely to whom I could turn in case of questions or remarks. Fortunately, our chairman kept good track of time to make sure we could have an drink at 7pm and we were ready for dinner at 7.30pm. The tables were set fast and in the proper way. M Hanken lit the candles personally and kept good view and had eye for details. We had a great starter and main course. Wines were also good. Our compliments for the Ambassador Team who put off the music so people present could say their prayers. Very thoughtful. This detail grabbed the attention of several people.

Congratulations on an excellent team

Dear Ms de Boer,

I fell compelled to write you a letter to advise you of how absolutely delighted I have been with the service and treatment at your hotel.

First, let me qualify myself – I have had “elite” status in 2 or more airlines every year for the past 15 years, and spend no less than 100 nights/ year in hotels around the world, sometimes as many as 150 and travel to all major continents and areas. So, I know hotels that have more “stars” than the Carlton Ambassador, and, ones that have less.

In being satisfied with a hotel, there are all the obvious things one considers; cleanliness, location, facilities etc.- but, one item that is genuinely impossible to tell from the outside is the attitude and professionalism of the staff. I most certainly haven’t met all your staff, or probably a large share of them – but, most if not all of the customer facing ones I know I have met.

The front desk staff in their entirety, and, virtually everyone in the restaurant and front desk management have been friendly, professional and truly OUTSTANDING in their field of business.

There is always a personal greeting, always a smile on their face and always willingness and, the associated empowerment to help get any matters or issues resolved.

I don’t know if you have simply been “lucky” and selected the right staff, I don’t know if it is the reward scheme, or the training, or the teamwork or some combination of all of the above. BUT, whatever it is works and works extremely well. When I arrive I feel a warm and friendly welcome, and when I leave I very often miss seeing them every morning and evening in the hotel.

As I said, I travel a lot, and the greatest compliment I can give your hotel deserves by far and above more than any other I have ever dealt with -- it feels as friendly and comfortable HOME. And, when it is all said and done, that is the best compliment I can give any hotel – no matter how many stars it has.

Congratulations on an excellent team, and I hope you pass these compliments on to all of them, with the understanding that whatever the ‘root cause’ of this wonderful result is gets analyzed and you ensure that it remains the hallmark of the wonderful team that you have managed to assemble and motivate.

Thank you very much for making travel to The Hague feel as comfortable as being home!

detailed and thoughtful attention

I would like to recognize one of your staff for her thoughtful and attentive assistance. On each occasion of my frequent visits to The Hague and the Carlton Ambassador, I am constantly welcomed tot the hotel by Sandra. Sandra goes out of her way to recognize me, call me by my name and remember small details that have made a previous stay more comfortable. Most recently, when I returned for yet another 3-week stay, Sandra remembered the room that I like, made sure my bag was in my room and handed me the wireless adaptor that I always need – and I never asked. Such detailed and thoughtful attention keeps me coming to your hotel. Kind regards,
